Project Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage key stakeholders, including business leaders, department heads, IT teams, and external vendors. Establish effective communication channels throughout the project lifecycle and manage stakeholder expectations.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to understand their functional and technical requirements. Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, identify gaps, and propose ERP solutions to address these gaps.
Project Execution: Coordinate and manage project activities to ensure adherence to project plans, budgets, and quality standards. Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams involved in the project.
Change Management: Develop change management strategies to promote user adoption and reduce resistance to change. Plan and execute training programs to educate end users on the new ERP system and its functionalities.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Oversee testing processes, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Ensure the quality and reliability of the ERP system through rigorous testing and issue resolution.
Go-live and Post-implementation Support: Plan and execute go-live activities during the initial post-implementation phase, including data migration, system cutover, and user support. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and provide ongoing support to resolve user issues.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration. Previous experience in project management, especially experience in ERP implementation, is highly desirable.
ERP Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or other leading ERP platforms. Familiarity with ERP implementation methodologies.
Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, track progress, and deliver projects on time within budget. Proficient in project management tools and techniques, PMP certification.
Business Acumen: In-depth understanding of business processes and workflows, particularly in finance, supply chain, manufacturing, human resources, and sales. Ability to align ERP solutions with business objectives and drive process improvement.
Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong leadership skills, capable of leading and motivating project teams, resolving conflicts, and managing expectations.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to evaluate complex requirements, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions. Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Change Management Expertise: Understanding of change management principles and methodologies to promote user adoption and manage change. Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
Certifications: Professional project management certifications (such as PMP) and ERP-specific certifications.
