Job description

Assume overall responsibility for driving engineering excellence across the subsidiaries with regards to subsidiary needs collectively re asset availability, resource optimisation and affordable cost.
Responsible for direct oversight and management of centralised Engineering teams.
Develop capability needs and develop own training and upskilling initiatives to drive best practice.
Oversee and ensure the engineering teams comply with the group/company policies and procedures.
Overall responsibility for legal and regulatory compliance in respect of all engineering activities.
Design or improve company New Product Introduction (NPI) process to guarantee every product’s cost, quality and development time

Job requirements

Undergraduate Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Min. 20 years working experience in toy manufacturing industries, 10 years+ in managerial role
With at least 5 years project management experience, PMP qualification is preferable
Fluent in English and good command in Mandarin
Strong in project coordination, communication & presentation
Good knowledge in products designs and assembly processes
Proficiency in different 6 sigma/ Lean skill like Poka Yoki, DFMEA, PFMEA
Good knowledge in problem solving
Mature, self-motivated & good interpersonal skills
Good Technical expertise, Ownership, Teamwork, Planning and Organizing skills
Frequent travel in Asia is required
