Electronics Engineer

Electronics Engineer

  • Location: GFT VIET NAM
  • Department: Engineering
  • Closing Date: 10/December/2025

Job description

Accurately understand customer technical requirements for products
Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate mass production feasibility based on factory capabilities (e.g., equipment precision, process level) and supply chain resources (e.g., component procurement difficulty, cost).
Receive product specification documents provided by the customer (such as function, performance, dimensions, power consumption, interfaces, etc.), design drawings (schematic diagrams, PCB layout drawings), or samples; verify each technical detail and clarify the customer’s core requirements (such as whether low cost, high reliability, or compliance with specific industry standards is required).
Collaborate with product engineers, design PCBA, and design product routing.
Optimize component selection: If the components specified by the customer have long lead times or high costs, recommend alternative materials with similar performance to balance cost and delivery efficiency.
Design and prototype at various stages of product development, optimize product performance.
Develop the Bill of Materials (BOM): Specify the model, specifications, and supplier of each component.
Process Documentation (SOP): Establish standard operating procedures for welding, assembly, and testing processes.
Testing plan: Design testing fixtures (such as jigs) and define the testing process / testing modes to ensure that products meet customer standards before shipment.
During production of the first batch (first article): Fully participate in testing and debugging, verify the first article’s functions, performance, and compliance with standards, and confirm the feasibility of the process documentation; if any issue arises, promptly adjust the process or provide feedback to the customer.
On-site troubleshooting: Stationed at the factory to resolve unexpected technical issues during production and efficiently handle any abnormalities on the production line.

Job requirements

Proficient in analog and digital circuit design (e.g., sound & light control circuits, button trigger circuits, wireless remote control circuits in toys), capable of independently completing circuit schematic (SCH) and PCB Layout design.
Skilled in using circuit design software (e.g., Altium Designer, PADS, KiCad), and designing PCB dimensions based on product spatial constraints.
Familiar with the characteristics of electronic components commonly used in toys: Able to select components based on customer requirements (e.g., function, cost, safety).
Knowledgeable about toy EMC standards: To prevent electromagnetic radiation from electronic modules (e.g., in remote control toys) from exceeding limits (e.g., complying with EU CE certification EMC requirements, preventing interference with other devices).
Understanding of environmental requirements: Such as the RoHS directive (restricting hazardous substances in electronic components), ensuring materials comply with customer environmental requirements.
Priority given to candidates with over 3 years of experience in the consumer electronics or toy industry: Familiar with the low-cost, miniaturization, and high-stability requirements of toy electronics; experience with ODM projects is preferred.
Capable of independently developing the electronic aspects of a sample: From customer requirements, to sample functional realization, and through to performance testing.
Possess a cost-control mindset: Optimize component selection while meeting functional requirements to avoid “overly redundant” designs.
Rapid problem response: When electronic defects occur in production, able to promptly identify the root cause and propose solutions.
